Dr. Phineas J. Ex-Mortis is one of the greatest supervillains. During the 1970s, he was an enemy of the Wonder Friends and was the only super criminal that their super computer couldn't outguess. During their final battle he killed over forty members of the Wonder Friends and assumingly died at some point.

- Originally, Dreadwing was supposed to bring Ex-Mortis back to assist him in his plans in Gold Digger Issue 136. However, this was either postponed or cancelled.
